Place Trades and Manage Orders on the Go

The ability to execute trades and manage positions from anywhere — at any time — is a core part of what the TradeStation mobile app is designed to deliver. With real-time account monitoring and flexible order tools built throughout the interface, the app aims to keep traders connected to the market wherever they are.

Trading from Any Tab

While the app includes a dedicated trade tab, order tickets are accessible from virtually anywhere within the interface — so traders don’t need to navigate away to act on an opportunity.

Whether you’re reviewing positions on the Home tab, browsing a watch list, or conducting market analysis in the Markets tab, placing a trade is never more than a tap away.

  • Tap a symbol to access its details from any tab.
  • Use the Sell and Buy buttons at the top, or the blue Trade button at the bottom, to open an order ticket quickly.

Customizing Your Order

Once the order ticket is open, traders can tailor the order before submitting.

  • Set the trading action (buy or sell).
  • Adjust the quantity.
  • Select the order type and set the price — tap the bid or ask buttons to refresh the price, or enter it directly.
  • Define the order duration.
  • Activate the Profit Target and Stop Loss buttons to attach a bracket and define your desired risk/reward ratio — exit orders will be submitted simultaneously with the entry.

Not ready to trade? Slide your finger down the order ticket to dismiss it.

Example: Buying 100 Shares of Intel with a Bracket

  1. Select Intel and open the order ticket.
  2. Set the order to buy 100 shares with a limit order.
  3. Tap the bid or ask to populate the price, or enter it manually.
  4. Activate the Profit Target and Stop Loss buttons and set your exit levels.
  5. Tap Review Order. The confirmation screen breaks down the specifics of each order in the bracket.
  6. Tap Send Orders. A pop-up will confirm the status of your order.

Monitoring Orders and Positions

The Home tab serves as the central hub for tracking orders and managing open positions.

  • Tap Orders and filter by order status to find what you need quickly.
  • Tap any open order and select from available actions, such as Replace or Cancel.

Managing a Position with an Exit Bracket

To submit an exit bracket on an open position — for example, on a Tesla trade:

  1. Tap the position in the Home tab.
  2. Select Actions, then tap Trade.
  3. Choose the OCO/OSO order ticket.
  4. Review the visual display of connected orders, which illustrates the relationship between legs in the OCO bracket.
  5. Tap the OCO/OSO dropdown to change your exit template if needed.
  6. Tap each order to enter exit criteria for both positive and negative outcomes.
  7. Review and send.
