Renowned trader and author Larry Williams will share the same trading ideas and set-ups he uses in his own trading every day. Larry will discuss identifying entry points and exit targets using confirming patterns and indicators, along with big-picture factors that can improve overall trading success.
Regardless of which products they currently trade, all traders should be educated about futures and options on futures because of the insights they provide into many different asset classes. Craig will provide a brief introduction to futures, including the benefits of trading them, how futures work and why they’re important for a trader’s portfolio, and futures characteristics to look for and why they’re useful.
David will offer three analytics traders can use to select futures markets appropriate for their trading portfolio. First, he’ll explain how to grade the markets based on their ability to deliver stable trading performance. Finally, he’ll explain how to evaluate individual market characteristics so you fully understand these markets before trading them.
Mike will showcase TradeStation’s powerful futures trading tools and market data features that futures traders can integrate into their trading. Larry Williams has been a trader and market researcher since the mid-1960s and is the author of numerous books and a speaker at major investment conferences throughout the world. Currently, his time is spent in full-time trading and research. Larry has created numerous market indicators, including the Williams % R, the Ultimate Oscillator, COT indicators, POIVI (a combination of price open interest volume accumulation indicators), and synthetic VIX indexes that have applications for all markets. He also pioneered the use of the Kelly ratio for money management. He has won the Robbins World Cup trading championship, increasing his position from $10,000 to over $1 million in real time using the Kelly ratio money management technique.
Linda Bradford Raschke began her professional trading career in 1981 as a market maker in equity options. Ms. Raschke was recognized in Jack Schwager's critically acclaimed book, The New Market Wizards, and is known for her own top-selling book, Street Smarts - High Probability Short-Term Trading Strategies. She has been featured in dozens of financial publications, radio and financial television programs, has served on the Board of Directors for the Market Technicians Association and was President of the American Association of Professional Technical Analysts.
Raghee Horner of SimplerTrading.com brings the wisdom of time-tested trading analysis with the edge that technology gives the modern trader. She started trading at the age of 17 while in high school, continued through college and chose following the markets over law school. Armed with her degree in English, Raghee found a passion for communicating the message of the markets as well as teaching self-directed traders how to find choice, freedom, and an edge in the futures markets. After authoring three trading books, conducting countless speaking engagements, seminars and trips across the globe, Raghee found time to share some of aspects of how she trades in this great event.
David Stendahl is founder and president of Signal Trading Group, an international speaker and the author of four books. He has designed trend, pattern and momentum style trading systems for more than 20 years. He focuses on trading the global futures markets, following a systematic, low leveraged and highly-diversified trading regiment. As a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA,) he traded 40 individual futures markets across eight different sectors. David has co-created various financial software programs that center on evaluating trading systems, position sizing application and portfolio construction. His most recognizable program is the back testing report found on the TradeStation platform.
Anthony Crudele began his career in 1995 in the S&P 500 pit and was one of the very first people to trade the E-mini S&P. By the time he was 21, he had become one of the youngest members of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Anthony has traded millions of futures contracts. He hosts a weekly podcast called Futures Radio Show sponsored by CME Group™ and Trading Technologies (TT). He has been interviewed by CNBC, Fox Business Channel, Bloomberg, WSJ, The Street, The New York Times, Trader Magazine and Forbes.
Craig Bewick has spent over 20 years working in Futures and Options markets. He began his career working at both the Chicago Board of Trade and Chicago Mercantile Exchange in roles ranging from Risk Management, Regulatory, Technology, Product Management and Client Development. He then spent 8.5 years as the General Manager of Chicago-based proprietary trading firm, WH Trading LLC, where he was responsible for managing day to day operations of the firm. Craig currently serves as Director, Client Development and Sales at CME Group where he is responsible for working with both brokerage firms and individual traders to educate and promote futures and options on futures trading.
