Tracking performance is a key task for active traders. This article will explain how customers can access and analyze activity in their TradeStation Securities account.<\/p>\n

Traders can begin at the homepage, TradeStation.com<\/a> and click the “Sign in” button in the main navigation bar at the top.<\/p>\n

After providing credentials, customers will see the main dashboard of HUB. They can always navigate back to this view by clicking on the home icon at the top left.<\/p>\n

Key stats like account value, profit and loss (P\/L) and available cash appear along the top. There’s also an equity curve, or chart showing historic changes in the account’s value. A drop down menu above the chart lets customers change accounts, while the Aggregate button combined values across all accounts.<\/p>\n

The account value chart is the first tool for traders looking to track their performance or generate reports on their activity. Notice the time-frame buttons at the bottom left letting users view periods such as 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, etc.<\/p>\n

Trade Reports<\/h2>\n

Each account is listed in a section below the equity curve chart.\u00a0Customers seeking more details can click on an account and a pop-up window will appear.<\/p>\n

This window offers several key pieces of information, controlled by the buttons at the top:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Balances:<\/span> View historical balances of categories like market value, overnight buying power and day trading buying power. Users can adjust the time frame and download the data in a CSV file.<\/li>\n
  • Positions:<\/span> This tab will list stocks and options in the account. The date can be adjusted and a CSV is available for download.<\/li>\n
  • Gain\/Loss:<\/span> This tab displays a variety of information about securities held in the account (now or previously).\n

      • Users can view closed positions, open positions and generate reports based on custom time frames.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Tax forms are also available, and users can perform other tasks like editing their cost basis for individual positions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Statements:<\/span> This tab displays three kinds of statements, controlled by the drop-down menu on top: Confirmations, 1099 tax forms and monthly account statements.<\/li>\n
      • Tax Center:<\/span> This tab can generate reports for importing into accounting software like TurboTax.<\/li>\n
      • Activity:<\/span> This tab displays completed buy and sell transactions. The time frame can be customized and a CSV file is available for download.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
