S&P Breaks 4,000 as VIX Fades and Semiconductors Jump. Watch The Market Today


The second quarter begins with the S&P 500 breaking 4,000 for the first time ever. The Nasdaq also rebounded sharply, helping push the VIX to a new 52-week low. There were more positive headlines for semiconductors, where demand continues to outstrip supply. Manufacturing also surged as the economy continues to recover from the coronavirus pandemic.
