Although Alcoa announcing its quarterly earnings has always been the unofficial start to earnings season, times have changed.

  • Alcoa is still one of the first major companies to announce, but a few others have recently been announcing earlier.
  • Alcoa is expected to announce earnings this week and many others will soon follow.

The market continues to be bullish but will earnings season move it lower?

On the Cryptocurrency front, in the early morning hours Monday, Bitcoin saw an almost 20 percent decline, dropping as low as $11,199, while Ethereum and Litecoin plunged more than 20 percent.
