Trading Mini Options Using TradeStation

Trading options on select high-priced underlying securities has now become more affordable using mini options. These new options have a deliverable of 10 shares versus the normal 100 shares of the underlying. This offers a unique opportunity to hedge equity positions that are less than round lot size, that is, less than 100 shares. In addition, the cost of entering mini option positions is approximately one-tenth the cost of entering full-sized option contracts.
