Responsible for carrying out daily tasks related to Servers, Windows OS and TradeStation’s In House software. Also be responsible for Monitoring, Administering and Documenting the Server Farm Environment and Processes.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Server Farm is operating properly
- Microsoft Cluster Operations
- Storage Array Operations
- Anti-Virus Deployment
- Time Synchronization
- Document Issues that occur and follow them to their resolution and document the resolution and root cause.
- Work with other teams to roll out new changes and troubleshoot existing ones.
- Software Upgrades
- Ability to Automate Software Upgrade Deployment
- Troubleshoot issues that arise with Upgrades
- Document and Track Upgrades
- Maintain Monitoring tools and Reporting
- Verify all Production Services are adequately monitored
- Windows Server 2003/2008
- Microsoft Clusters
- Server Hardware
- Storage Hardware
- Provide Reports showing Performance Trending of Systems
- Provide Reports showing User Loads
- Provide Reports showing Errors and Issues that occur
- Support the Server Farm during hours and includes an on call schedule which is after hours and weekends.
- When on call must be available 24 x 7
Requirements:
- Must be familiar with Windows Server OS
- Understand the workings of Group Policy
- Restore Domain Controller from Failure
- Create Scripts to automate administration
- Ability to communicate to others the internal workings of our Windows configuration
- Must have basic Networking Routing and Switching Knowledge
- Must have full knowledge of IP Addressing
- Must have full knowledge of IP Subnetting
- Must understand IP Routing and be familiar with IP Routing Protocols
- Must know how to use Packet Analyzer tools to troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Must have knowledge of HP Proliant Hardware
- Understand how to configure and manage iLO
- Understand how to manage HP Proliant Servers
- Must be able to work extra hours and weekends as needed
- Must have strong Organizational Skills
- Must be able to work independently and with a Team
- Must be able to communicate to a group
- 5-7 Years of experience working in an Enterprise Server environment.
- MCITP or MCM Certification or higher from Microsoft
- Network+ or A+ certification or higher from COMPTIA
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in MIS or Computer Science preferred
