Getting Started with TradeStation

Getting Started with TradeStation is a LiveOnTheWeb educational program designed to get you up and trading with TradeStation. The program is divided into three sessions:

"Trading Tools and Desktop Organization"
"Charting and Strategy Trading"
"Scanning with RadarScreen, Scanner and Hot Lists."

Each session is designed to familiarize you with the features of TradeStation and to help you master the skills needed to tap into the power and flexibility of the TradeStation trading platform.

Session 1
Trading and the TradeStation Desktop

You'll learn how to make the most of TradeStation's order-entry capabilities, from simple limit orders and trailing stops to advanced order-entry features such as activation rules and conditional orders. We'll also show you how to set up windows, workspaces and desktops to access market data quickly and easily.

Trading Strategies, Chart Analysis and Indicators

Learn how to create charts and customize their style, interval and date range. You'll also learn how to back-test several of our built-in strategies against historical data, optimize them for best results and automate them for order execution.

Scanner, RadarScreen, Hot Lists, Time & Sales and News

You'll also learn how to use the Time & Sales window to track market data and the News window to keep abreast of the latest company, industry and market news.
